Pay it Forward!

Whether you are a headshot photographer or a bricklayer, paying it forward to your community is never a waste of time or effort. Bringing a smile to this adorable little girl and others like her is worth your time. It not only makes a direct impact to those involved by having access to skills and talent they might not be able to afford otherwise, but it strengthens our communities, one small piece at a time.

The untold story

A personal story from the same Wellwood Run for Colorectal Cancer that hit home involved a mother who had lost her son to colorectal cancer. She was quite elderly and walked the race. Towards the latter part of the event, I was taking photographs of people crossing the finish line. It had already been a rewarding day and I was about to head over to the awards ceremony, when I heard about this woman who was still out on the course. Once I knew the story, there was no way I was leaving that spot because I was going to capture that tremendous woman crossing the finish line. If she was going to tough out a 5k walk for her son, I was going to give her the image she deserved. All of these events are full of these little moments that remind us we’re human.
